PERSONAL TESTIMONY OF BENJAMIN GAN

The most wonderful thing that happened in my life was when I responded to God’s love, by confessing Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. There wasn’t thunder, nor lightning, but I felt my empty heart being filled, while in His presence. I felt I belong, and wanted again. I am so honoured to call upon God as my Heavenly Father, and know that He accepts me as His child.

Just like everybody else, when life was just starting out for me, seeking success in career, money in the bank, pleasure and excitement to the body were the pursuits of my life. Then came along too, all the ups and downs in life as I venture on. Over time, as I ponder upon the good and the bad that had happened (which there seemed to be more bad than good), I began to accept life as fated; so much so, including being a failure.

Living a mediocre life, it was like living a life with no direction, and no destination. Each day was lived with no purpose, probably only for the sake of living. I still went round working, socializing and doing daily activities, but literally there wasn’t much life in all that I do. There was no excitement, no zest, no passion.

But all this began to change since the day I responded to God’s love. God has opened my eyes to new meaning in life, and that is to live for Him. My life has not been transformed overnight, and instead God is teaching me and changing me everyday; little by little.

I still desire to have success in career and money in the bank, but surely, my God will have the final say, for He now is my Master planner. Life now is no longer dictated by fate, but lived with faith, hope and confidence in God Almighty – and in Him I trust.

Praise God =)
