I would like to relate an incident in my walk with the Lord. In my growing up years, I asked the Lord to show me His love and care so that I could experience explicitly how He felt for me. I have known Him so some years already, but I wanted more of Him. He demonstrated His fatherly love and care to all of us in that He died for us while we were still sinners, away from God.
Praise the Lord, He never changes.

So you wanted to know of His great love and care to all persons…….. here it comes. It was at this stage in my life that I was at a crossroad. I had given my best (so I think) to raise my daughter. She had just finished Form 5 and did not know what to do next. She mixed with the wrong crowd though she was going to church with the family. It came to a crisis point that I reluctantly asked her to choose between her family or to live out with her friends. If she chooses out, there will be no support from the family. She chose her friends and moved out. It broke my heart. She came back after two years and was reunited with the family. What a delight and joy that flowed from my heart.
Right there, I remembered of God’s love towards us as in the parable of the prodigal son (this is the prodigal daughter who came back). It spoke so vividly of His love towards me and I asked for His forgiveness and confess my shortcomings and sins. Even as I rejoice with my daughter’s reunion, how much more God’s forgiveness is towards all of us as we approach His throne of grace. His grace if sufficient for all as is reflected in the song,
"Amazing grace shall always be my song of praise,
For it was grace that bought my liberty;
I do not know just why He came to love me so,
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need.
I shall forever lift mine eyes to Calvary
To view the cross where Jesus died for me;
How marvelous the grace that caught my falling soul!
He looked beyond my fault and saw my need."
